01DAY

Edo Tokyo

After the Sensoji temple, the oldest in Tokyo, and a walk along the Sumida river through Kappabashi street, Ueno park takes up the middle of the day with its museums and Yushima Tenjin shrine, then the Ameyoko shopping street. The end of the day plays out in Akihabara, between electronics stores and manga culture, with a stop at the small Yanagimori temple, dedicated to tanuki.
